Fokker D-VII

This D-VII carries the markings of Oberleutnant Ernst Udet. With 62 victories, Udet was the second highest German ace. Udet joined the Nazi party in 1933, and Göring made him head of the Luftwaffe's Technical Office. He committed suicide in 1941.

Fokker D-VII
Replica

This replica D-VII is owned by Vintage Aero Flying Museum. It was built by Dr. James J. Parks from original blueprints and is powered by a American Ranger inline engine. The fuselage is slightly extend to accommodate the engine and there's an an extra 40 pounds of ballast in the nose.
