Curtiss Robin

In 1935, a Curtiss Robin established a world record for sustained flight (27 days), using air-to-air refueling. In 1938, "Wrong Way" Corrigan departing New York, flew 28 hours, and landed in Ireland, claiming that he had accidentally read his compass backwards.

Curtiss Robin

The first Robin flew on August 7, 1928. Curtiss built 769 Robins between 1928 and 1932 - fifty-two are still on the register. This Robin (N3277G) was manufactured in 1929 and carries constructor number 237.
