This unmanned aircraft can see targets up to 125 kilometers from its ground control station and recognize tactical vehicles from up to 8,000 feet above the ground at more than 3.5 kilometers slant range, day or night. A typical block 1 Shadow system includes three air vehicles (plus one spare air vehicle) with payloads, two ground control stations, portable ground control station, air vehicle transport truck, launch and recovery equipment and personnel carrier. The complete system can be transported to and within a battlefield in two C-130 aircraft.
