The Boeing Everett, Washington facility opened in 1967 to produce the 747 jumbo jet. The site's second jetliner program, the 767, got under way here in July 1978; and the rollout of the first 777 took place April 9, 1994. Now the facility is producing the state-of-the-art 787 Dreamliner.
