Douglas SBD-5 Dauntless

The SBD-5 was most produced version of the Dauntless. A total of 2,965 were built.

There are only two airworthy SBDs in the world. This SBD-5 is operated by the Commemorative Air Force, Dixie Wing, and was built at the Douglas Aircraft factory at El Segundo, California in 1943. It was restored to airworthy condition in 1999.
