The RCAF refurbished this aircraft in 1964 and placed it in the historic aircraft collection. It was transferred to the Museum later that year. It carries the nose art and squadron markings of an aircraft from No. 428 Squadron, RCAF.

A total of 430 Canadian built Lancaster Mk,Xs were built. They differed little from their British-built predecessors, except for using Packard built Merlin engines and American style instrumentation and electrics.
