North American TB-25L Mitchell 3PT

This Mitchell B-25JNorth was built by North American Aviation in Kansas City for the U.S. Army Air Forces in 1945, and prior to 1952 it was converted into a TB-25L pilot trainer. In January 1952 the aircraft was taken on strength by the RCAF. The RCAF at Trenton refinished it in the markings of a No. 98 Squadron RAF aircraft in 1964, and it became part of the Museum's collection later that year.

North American Mitchell 3PT

The RCAF used both bomber and trainer versions of the Mitchell well into the 1960s. The Mitchell was a highly successful World War 2 bomber and ground-attack aircraft that flew on every major front. Nearly 11,000 Mitchells were built in the U.S. between 1940 and 1945.
