IAI Nesher

IAI began assembling the Nesher in 1969, with the aid of tools and plans that were partially acquired through Mossad agents. When they were retired, the Neshers were sold to Argentina. They served in the Falkland War under the name 'Dagger'.

The Nesher was the first Israeli made fighter; 51 single-seat and 10 tandem-seat trainers were produced. During the Yom Kippur War, Neshers were primarily used in the air-to-air combat role, where 227 enemy planes were shot down with only six losses.
