The Scout and Searcher were used operationally in Operation Accountability in 1993 and later in 1996 in Operation Grapes of Wrath.
IAI Searcher
The Searcher is a second-generation, intelligence UAV that began service in 1992 and has participated in routine security operations in Lebanon. They locate terrorist targets and aid IAF manned-aircraft during attacks. UAVs give the IAF an inexpensive, long-duration tactical reconnaissance capability.
