This aircraft is a Canadian-built FB Mk.26, serial number KA114. It was built in early 1945, never left Canada, and was surplussed in April 1948. It was restored in New Zealand and flew again on September 27, 2012.

Mosquito

The de Havilland FB Mk.26 is a Canadian-built version of the Mosquito FB Mk.VI (Fighter-bomber Mark 6) powered by Packard Merlin engines. The typical fixed armament for an FB Mk.VI was four Browning .303 machine guns and four 20 mm Hispano cannon while the offensive load consisted of up to 2,000 pounds of bombs, or eight RP-3 unguided rockets.
