Allison V-1710 Engine

The V-1710 was first used by the U.S. Air Corps in 1932 and was the first product of an extensive Army program to develop a high-power, liquid-cooled engine. It was used in Curtiss P-40s, Lockheed P-38s, Bell P-39s &l P-63s, and early North American
P-51s.
