Continental A-40
Engine

This four-cylinder, 38 horsepower engine was introduced in 1930. Piper used it to power over 1,500 of its J-2 Cubs from February 1931 through May of 1938. The A-40 evolved throughout the years, and its latest descendant, the Continental O-200, is still available new from the factory.
