Discovery Arrival

Space shuttle Discovery is towed toward the transfer ceremony at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. It had been parked in the treeline, out of site of the crowd, after its arrival on Wednesday, April 18, 2012.

Discovery Arrival Ceremony

Discovery, is the first orbiter retired from NASA’s shuttle fleet. It completed 39 missions, spent 365 days in space, orbited the Earth 5,830 times, and traveled 148,221,675 miles. She will take the place of Enterprise at the Udvar-Hazy Center.
