Bell XV-15 Tiltrotor

On 16 September 2003, the pioneering XV-15 tilt rotor was the first artifact to fly onto the grounds of the Udvar-Hazy Center . This is the sole surviving XV-15. The success of the XV-15, which first flew in 1977, led to the development of the V-22 Osprey and the civilian version, the nine-passenger Bell Agusta 6.
