Northrop N-1M

The N-1M made its first test flight on 3 July 1940 and was the first pure all-wing aircraft produced in the United States. Its design was the forerunner of the larger all-wing XB-35 and YB-49 bomber. The N-1M was plagued by poor performance, it was overweight and chronically underpowered.
