Boeing 274D
(United Airlines)

The Boeing 247 was the first truly modern airliner. It was a great improvement over the Ford Tri-Motor, cutting eight hours from the coast-to-coast flying time, and was capable of carrying 10 people. The Museum's 247D flew in the famous England-to-Australia air race of 1934.
