VZG-76/V-1/JV-2

The German army began using the V-1 in June 1944. The "V" stood for Vergeltungswaffe (vengeance weapon). V1s were originally launched from northern France by catapults attached to 157 foot long launch rails, but were eventually also released from airplanes.
