Ishtar Gate
The Ishtar Gate is surmounted by high parapets and uses cobalt blue tiles and golden figures of mythical beasts for decoration. Nebuchadnezzar II commanded that the walls of the gate have representations of bulls (the symbolic animal of the weather god Adad) and dragons.
