Platform 17 Memorial

The marker reads: In memory of the more than 50,000 Berlin Jews who were murdered primarily by the Nazi government, between October 1941 and February 1945, by deportation from Grunewald station to the extermination camps.

A warning to us, to oppose courageously and without hesitation any disrespect for the lives and dignity of people.

Platform 17 Memorial

This memorial was inaugurated on 27 January 1998. It was erected in memory of the Jews murdered by the Nazis and serves as a warning to future generations. It is a place of remembrance with the hope that no one will forget the holocaust. The marker shown on this page is much more explicit and demands more attention than the small memorial on the previous page.
