The plaque reads: In memory of the tens of thousands of Jewish citizens of Berlin who were, from October 1941 until February 1945, deported from this location to death camps and murdered by the Nazis.
Platform 17 Memorial
In case the visitor missed the first marker, there is a second one by the rail platform. Again, the words are much more descriptive of what happened here than the older memorial.
