Schöneberg District

The Bavarian Quarter in Schönenberg was known in the 1920s as “Jewish Switzerland”, because many “well-to-do” Jews settled there.

Bavarian Quarter

Children at this school pick the name of a Jew deported from the Bavarian Quarter during the Holocaust and learn about that person's life. At the end of the term, they write the person's name on a brick, along with their birth date, the date of their deportation, and the concentration camp they were sent to. The bricks become part of this wall.
