Niederwald Monument
This monument is the Niederwalddenkmal or Germania Monument. It calibrates the establishment of the Imperial German Kingdom and unification of Germany in 1871, which was a direct result of the Franco Prussian War of 1870 - 1871. The monument is located 250 m above the Rhine and the city of Rüdesheim. You can reach it via a footpath or cable car.
