The Mihrab
This is the dome in the mihrab to the mosque, the holy place where the Koran scriptures were kept. Moorish domes were usually undecorated on the outside, but on the inside there is an intricate lattice of stone ribs supported the dome's weight. This one was inlaid with multicolored mosaics of stylized flowers.
