Templo de Debod

The Egyptian temple of Debod was built in the 4th century BCE by Pharaoh Azekheramon. It was rescued from the flooding of the Aswan Dam and given to Spain in gratitude for their help in rescuing monuments from the Nubian valley. The temple is carved in shallow relief, and stands in line with two of its original gateways.
