Guardia Civil
In addition to its rural police functions, the Civil Guard is responsible for firearms and explosives control; policing traffic on interurban roads; protection of communication routes, coasts, frontiers, ports, and airports; enforcement of environmental laws; and interurban transport of prisoners.
