Trafalgar Square
Trafalgar Square is one of Britain's great tourist attractions. It was built in 1839 to 1842 to commemorate Nelson's victory at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Around the base of Nelson's column are the four giant bronze lions, which were added in 1868.
