Armored Car

Improvised armoured cars and trucks were used extensively prior to and during the War of Independence. Most early Israeli models had firing ports or hatches but few had turrets or permanent weapons (limitations imposed by British restrictions). Arab models, and some later Israeli models, had turrets.

Armored Car

This armored car served with the 34th battalion of the 3rd "Alexandroni" brigade during the War of Independence. It was used in the battles at Tantura, Kakoon, Kfar Saba, Rosh Haayin, Camp 22 near Beit Lid, Igzim, and Jabba. Armored cars like this supported the infantry.
