The HVSS was produced in large numbers and was commissioned during the War of Attrition with Egypt along the Suez Canal.
Sherman Medical Evacuation Tank HVSS
This Sherman was modified with a new diesel engine that was moved to the front and a covered compartment in the back. It is used for the evacuation and treatment of casualties under enemy fire. It could carry a medical team and four wounded soldiers.
