The Saladin was a six-wheeled armored car armed with a 76mm main gun. Alvis Vehicles Limited produced 1,177 of them from 1959 to 1972.

The U.K. built a total of 1,177 Saladin armored cars from 1956-1972. Several Saladins were captured from Jordan in the Six Day War (1967), but they were never used by the IDF.
