WASP Flamethrower

The Wasp was a self-propelled flamethrower. The projector was mounted on the front of a modified Universal Carrier fitted with a 341-litre fuel tank. The Wasp could hurl a burning stream of fuel up to 90 metres. The Canadian army found the weapon to be extremely effective in prying German soldiers from their defenses, as it struck horror into the minds of German troops, who feared them more than any other conventional weapon.
