Artist Edward Zuber is a Canadian artist that enlisted at the outbreak of the Korean War in 1950. He was a sniper with five confirmed kills. Throughout his experience on the Korean front, Zuber produced many drawings and maintained a detailed "Sketch diary". Paintings created after his return to Canada are informed by Zuber's frontline notebooks and experiences.
The rifle shown in the display is a Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I* (T) sniper rifle used by British and Commonwealth snipers throughout World War 2, the Korean War, and up until 1976. It is considered the best sniper rifle of World War 2.
