Today, the inn is at the only flag stop along the route of Amtrak's Empire Builder - the successor to the Great Northern Railway's original Empire Builder.

Izaak Walton Inn

The Izaak Walton Inn was built by the Great Northern Railway in 1939 for lodging its railway workers. The inn was also originally envisioned as the southern entrance to Glacier National Park, but this plan never materialized.
