Nickel Plate Road Berkshire 2-8-4
No. 765 is operated by the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society. This photo was take in August 2010 while it was visiting the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.
The Nickel Plate Road become an effective, high-speed freight line with the addition of 80 Berkshires to its motive power ranks. The Berkshires could reach a speed of 60 miles an hour.
