I first saw this locomotive sitting in a railyard in Cleveland, Ohio in 1995. It was waiting waiting on repairs to its air brake lines. No. 803 is at the Illinois Railway Museum.
CSS&SB No. 802 Little Joe
General Electric in Erie, Pennsylvania built this rare “2-D+D-2” electric locomotive in 1949. It is one of only three known to exist from original 20 built. CSS&SB No. 802 and No. 803 were the last mainline electric freight locomotives to operate in North America. No.802 retired 1983.
