The GG1 was a Pennsylvania Railroad design intended to haul a consist of 12-14 passenger cars on the electrified sections of the system between New York, Washington, DC, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania Railroad GG1

No. 4890 was built in 1940, and is one of 140 Pennsylvania Railroad GG1 class electric locomotives. It is 79' 6" long, weighs 468,4000 lbs and its 2-C+C-2 wheel arrangement runs on an articulated frame to negotiate tight curves.
