Hawker Typhoon IB

This Hawker Typhoon missed the mass, post-WWII scrapping operations because she was in the U.S. undergoing wartime evaluation and comparison trials. After the trials, it moved to the National Air Museum, which later became the Smithsonian’s National Air & Space Museum.
