This Fleet Fort has only been restored on one half to give visitors an idea of the task faced in restoring an old aircraft.

The Fleet 60K Fort was originally designed as an intermediate trainer but was used as a wireless operator trainer between 1942 and 1944. They were deemed obsolete in early 1944, and all were retired by July 1944.
