Flying Fortress
The Yankee Air Force purchased this B-17 in June of 1986 for $250,000. It had served in the U.S. Coast Guard (PG-1G), did airborne survey work, was used as an air tanker to fight forest fires, and, in 1969, flew to Hawaii for the filming of Tora, Tora, Tora. The word survivor comes to mind.
