Lockheed P-38J Lightning

Clarence "Kelly" Johnson and a team of Lockheed designers created the most successful twin-engine fighter ever flown by any nation. The P-38J's maximum speed was 414 mph at 25,000 feet, and its cieling was 44000 feet. Its range was 2,260 miles, with external tanks.
