Lockheed AC-130A
Spectre

The AC-130A was converted from C-130As. Nineteen were completed and first arrived in South Vietnam on 21 September 1967 under the Gunship II program. They began combat operations over Laos and South Vietnam that year. They were armed with two 7.62 miniguns, plus two 20mm and two 40mm cannon.

All AC-130As were transferred to the Air Force Reserve in 1975, and they were retired in 1995.
