Enterprise finally made it to New York on Friday, April 27, 2012, after waiting a week for favorable weather conditions.
Shuttle Enterprise Ready For Flight
Enterprise is mated on top of the NASA 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA) at Washington Dulles International Airport, Friday, April 20, 2012. Enterprise will go on permanent display at the Intrepid Sea Air and Space Museum in New York in June, 2012. She will then sit out in the elements and decay like so many of the Interpid's displays.
