This F-105 Thunderchief was destroyed during the hanger fire on 9 October 2004. It had been pulled into the hanger for some cosmetic refinishing.

This F-105 had flown with the Thunderbirds and New Jersey ANG. The F-105 was a supersonic tactical fighter-bomber that proved deadly and effective in Vietnam. The USAF received its first 105 in May 1958, and at the time it was the largest single-seat, single-engine combat aircraft ever built.
