Niederwald Monument
The Niederwald monument was completed in 1883 and stands 132 feet high and about 120 feet wide. The chief figure on the monument is Germania, bearing the imperial sword and the emperor's crown. It's made of 32 tons of bronze. The figure of Germania is the classical mythic female representing Germany.
