Sinagoga del
Tránsito

This synagogue was built in 1357 for Semuel ha-Levi Abulafia, minister to Pedro I of Castile. Its design was influenced by Moorish, Almohad, and Gothic styles. The building became a church of the religious order of Alcántara (they added the bell tower) after the Jews were expelled in 1492.
