Glenn H. Curtiss

First, some history: Glenn Curtiss was the father of Naval Aviation. He leased North Island in 1910 for flight training and to develop his hydroplane. Also in 1910, Eugene Ely flew a Curtiss pusher airplane off the USS Birmingham. This was the first time an airplane had taken off from a warship.
