Common Myna

In Hawaii, where the common myna was introduced to control pest armyworms and cutworms in sugarcane crops, the bird has helped to spread the robust Lantana camara weed across the islands' open grasslands. Lantana is an invasive weed, and it's especially a problem in pastures because it is poisonous to livestock. Birds love the ripe berries and are responsible for dispersing the seed.
