Although the mountain goat is not an official National Park Service symbol, it became emblematic of Glacier National Park. Rocky, and slogans like "See America First" and "The National Park Route," were intended to attract tourists to Glacier National Park.
Rocky the Goat
This statue of the Great Northern Railway's Mountain Goat stands on the west side of the station building. The Great Northern chose I as its trademark symbol in 1921.
