This depot was built in 1912 by the Great Northern Railway. The station, platform, and parking are now owned by the BNSF Railroad. The station operates during the summer only, and Glacier Park Lodge is just a short walk from the station.

East Glacier Park is a seasonal station stop for the Amtrak Empire Builder in East Glacier Park, Montana. The station is served daily from April to October, and caters mostly to tourists visiting Glacier National Park.
