Nickel Plate Pullman No. 62

The Nickel Plate retired the 62 in Cleveland in 1960, and MRPS bought the car in August 1963. As part of that restoration, new upholstery was installed by convicts at an Ohio correctional institution.

Nickel Plate Pullman No. 62

 

28 people died in this car in a horrible accident in 1943.

The #62, a 72-seat day coach, was built by the Pullman Company in September 1934 for service on the New York, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad (The Nickel Plate)
