No. 6 was restored to operation on compressed air in Summer 2002. It is the only operating fireless steam locomotive in North America. Only 30 were built and approximately six survive.

Built in 1937 by the Heisler Locomotive Works in Erie. This Heisler fireless steam (thermos bottle) locomotive (0-6-0 wheel configuration) was used in Ashtabula, Ohio by the Cleveland Illuminating Co. until 1973.
